The perfect partnership

I like this article, it’s cute, but it does represent part of the problem in the way we see sexual orientation and how heavily we associate it with gender identity. I’m technically a male (identify as genderqueer) who’s technically dating a female, but because I’m especially effeminate and she’s rather masculine most of the generalizations made here apply to us as well as they would to most actually gay couples. It’s just too narrow a lens to say because we both have female or male genitalia our relationships are stronger cause we’re more similar. It’s drawing a lot of unfair and inaccurate assumptions about the simplicity of gender identity which is actually a very complex subject.
