Gah.

The thing I most hate about that line of thinking is that you just end up with a bunch of mediocre white (and Asian) men instead of a more diverse set of mediocre people.

We already know that diverse teams performs better. Given enough monoculture, the marginal improvement from injecting diversity is probably higher than that of hiring a high performer who wouldn’t alter the monoculture.
