The article raises great points, but I also see another issue in the design community as evident in this post: Not every designer uses OS X for his/her work.
If you audience for this post are designers in a broad sense, please don’t assume we are all OS X users. I know plenty of great designers that do practically all of their work in Windows or even a few Linux variants. They don’t dabble with Quartz Composer or Keynote as the post presumes all designers do or should do. The days of OS X being the only OS for quality designers has been gone since the past few years if one’s not in a bubble.
