ContributionDrop
Why is “ContributionDrop”?
We saw so many Airdrop practices and most of them are for marketing purposes. They don’t consider much about users who have made contributions to the community. They care more about who may make contributions to the community later. Every team has the right to decide who will be the targeted users based on their situation.
However, we prefer the ones who have made the contribution rather than those who may make contributions later. The reasons are:
- Quoll Finance is building on top of Wombat Exchange. We get lots of support and trust from them and more importantly from the Wombat community. We should give our sincere appreciation to these lovely people who have made contributions to the whole community.
- Compared to utilizing Airdrop as the marketing tools, we believe that the true spirit will be the best marketing for attracting more people onboard. We are big fans of decentralization. Contribution and sharing are 2 of the most important spirits to build a successful community. We treat this as the main culture of the Quoll community. The contribution and sharing should be rewarded!
So we call our Airdrop the “ContributionDrop”, we will try to allocate the reward to the ones who have made contributions to the Wombat and Quoll ecosystem instead of rewarding those who may be the target users in the future.
How will we do?
Basically, we will define some groups who have made contributions to the whole ecosystem and give different weights to different groups based on how much contribution they have made. We borrow this from how the EVM-blockchain calculates the gas. It will define some operations and different operations will have different gas costs depending on how much resource it needs.
The main group will include WOM token-related, liquidity providers on Wombat and Keep Contributing.
Details
The total airdrop is 1.5% of the total supply.
WOM token related (70%):
WOM holders are the foundation of the whole ecosystem. They bear the most risk to support the ecosystem from the very beginning and will join the governance to grow together, so they deserve the most allocation.
In detail, this group includes:
- WOM amount on address, excluding all the contract addresses;
- WOM amount of WOM/BUSD liquidity providers on Pancakeswap, it will contain the contract but should consult them whether they will redistribute to their end-users;
- WOM amount locked on Wombat, the weight will vary based on how long locked, maximum is 2 times the WOM amount locked and it linearly increases by the time from 1 time of WOM amount locked;
- qWOM amount, we calculate these Quoll early supporters as well because of their vision.
So here is an example to make it more clear, if we have a 1,000,000 total supply, the ContributionDrop is 15,000 QUO. This group will receive 70%*15000 = 10,500 QUO.
Liquidity Providers (25%)
Liquidity is one of the key parts of each DEX. Without liquidity providers, trading cannot happen. Liquidity providers also bear lots of risks to support the ecosystem from a very early time.
It will include:
- Main Pool, BUSD, USDC, USDT, DAI value of each address;
- Side Pool, BUSD, and HAY value of each address;
- BNB Pool, BNB, BNBx, stkBNB, aBNBc value of each address;
We use value instead of amount because these tokens have different prices. The price can reflect their contribution most. And all the stablecoin will be used $1 to calculate and all the BNB will use the price at the moment we take the snapshot.
So here is an example to make it more clear, if we have a 1,000,000 total supply, the ContributionDrop is 15,000 QUO. This group will receive 25%*15000 = 3,750 QUO.
Keep Contributing (5%)
This will reward all the behaviors that make the other contributions and shill the whole ecosystem. The detailed rules have been included in Quoll’s official social channel.
Rules
- The snapshot of related assets was made twice on Oct 10th, Oct 12th and will be made another 3 times on Oct 14th, Oct 17th, and Oct 19th. The average of your related assets in the snapshot will be the final weight in calculating how much airdrop you can receive. We hope this may encourage you to be a longer contributor；
- Reward will be given within 2 weeks after Quoll Finance’s launch;
- Reward will have an unlocking period which will be announced later. Quoll won’t punish anyone who claims their unlocked token by reducing their total receiving. A fair way will be applied. All the rewards will be staked to earn the protocol fee but if anyone claims the unlocked ones. Their rewards will be unstaked and earn nothing. However, they can still claim all after the token is unlocked.
- Cheating is prohibited and if we find anything we may cancel the reward.
