Messi, Inter Miami defeat Cincinnati FC: Miami won a thrilling US Open Cup semifinal in PKs

The first assist came in the 68th minute, when Messi passed the ball to Campana from a free kick. This reduced FC Cincinnati’s lead to 2–1. Cincinnati had taken the lead with goals from their star players, Luciano Acosta and Brandon Vazquez.

Since Messi joined, he had scored in all seven of his games, helping Inter Miami win their first-ever League’s Cup.

Lionel Messi provided two assists and also scored a penalty as Inter Miami CF won against FC Cincinnati. They won 5–4 in a penalty shootout after the game ended in a thrilling 3–3 draw. This victory took them to the 2023 US Open Cup Final. The final match is scheduled for September 27, where Miami will face Houston Dynamo. This could be their second trophy this year.
