Who said there would be no arctic ice by 2010?

In this graph it looks like CO2 leads temperature rise around 330,000 years ago, and again around 260,000 years ago. It would be nice to have a wider graph to zoom in on those places where it looks as though CO2 and temperature are rising at the same time. Not sure where to get one.

If I understand this page, historically, the sun directly causes “deglaciation” which causes CO2 levels to rise. In turn, the higher CO2 levels cause more warming planet-wide.
