In Person Drop of Resume:

During my research work on Gender diversity in organization, I and my research partner conducted the interviews of professionals last Wednesday at Bank Al falah Islamic at Gulberg Lahore. I made a plan that I will do two works together. First I will conduct the interviews and then go to the HR for my In person drop of resume. When we finished the interviews of the subordinates of the upper management, we went to the reception and asked for meeting with the HR. She did not allow us to go to the HR but give us the direction to the subordinate of the HR Manager named Mr. Umair. We did not miss this opportunity and went to the table of Umair sahib. I realized that the meeting with the HR is not easy even when you have no reference or any authority. I started conversation with Mr. Umair and told him that I want to apply in this bank because of its brand name which is lifting up as the time is passing. I started a bit with elevator pitch and when I reached to the experience section and quoted Amal, he showed a little interest in Amal and as well as me. At last, when I wanted to hand over my resume, he denied to take it and said it has no worth despite online application. He suggested me to apply by rozee.pk or through our (bank al falah) own website. We do not consider in person drop of resume. At that time I felt the importance of having account on rozee.pk. Overall it was a nice experience and I believe it does not practice the same in every organization.
