Etching is a tradition printing method. In traditional process, people will cover the copper plate with wax and then use needles as paint brushes to create images. After that, strong acid is used to melt out those parts of metal surface without wax protected to create the plate for printing .

Deboss/Emboss(Left), Photo etching(Right)
After exposed, photos are etched on the plate
Apply ink on the plate
Wipe off the extra ink by the linen
Cover the plate with 2 layer of papers, then cover with the felt and roll the press
Final outcomes

After the print, have to wait 3 days for the ink to dry out.
