That’s fantastic. The first step would be to identify your skill level (novice, intermediate, or advanced) and then pick a specific issue from the blog post which speaks to you. Follow the link to the github issue tracker and make a post stating that you would like to work on that issue. The Xarray developers will respond and provide some suggestions about how to get started.
