There was a beautiful house in a village. The owner of the house was kind, but strict in discipline. He had many animals in his house, especially several dogs. The dogs were assigned to guard the owner.

One day, a hungry fox was roaming around the house and saw that there was a lot of food in the house. But he did not dare to enter because of the fear of the dogs.

Then an idea came to his mind. The fox found an old dog skin somewhere. He wrapped it around himself and turned himself into a dog. Then he entered the house.

The fox began to behave like the other dogs in the house. He would wag his tail like a dog, bark, and even pretend to be a guard. The owner did not understand anything at first.

This went on for a while. The fox gradually started stealing food from the house. However, there were some abnormalities in his behavior — he did not mix with other dogs and would wander around strangely at night.

The owner began to have doubts. One day, he called all the dogs in the house together and gave them some food. All the dogs started eating the food, but the fox started eating differently. The owner went to him and pulled his skin.

The fox’s true identity was revealed! The owner got angry and caught the fox and chased him out of the house. He said,
“Cunning cannot last long. Lies and pretense are bound to be exposed one day.”

Moral of the story:
It is possible to get temporary advantage by lying or cheating, but it does not last long in the face of truth. Being honest and maintaining your true self is the best way in life.
