The title might emit a strange impact but after read this blog you will understand it and enjoy it. Basically Pomodoro is a technique used to kill the biggest monster that stuck us to do our important and urgent tasks (i.e Procrastination) and help us to manage the time.

The Pomodoro Technique developed by “Francesco Cirillo” in the late 1980s. Pomodoro is an Italian word for “Tomato”. It is a time management technique uses a timer to breakdown our task into breaks, usually of 25 minutes duration, divided by little gaps almost 4 to 5 minutes. Repeat the task until work is done.

There are following steps that used in Pomodoro technique:

  1. Choose a task to be done
  2. Set the 25 minutes i.e the Pomodoro timer
  3. Until the Pomodoro rings, work on the task. If any confusion arise in your mind, write it .
  4. Put a tick on the paper, after the timing tings.
  5. Take a short break of almost 5 minutes.
  6. Repeat the steps and continue working until complete the task.

I worked on Pomodoro technique on my tasks like completion of the online course, to make the Eisenhower Matrix and write the blogs. It helped me a lot in time management. I was thinking I can’t write the blogs in less time but I was really surprised by the results of this technique. Because I was done more effectively and pay more attention and surprised to see the results.

I was feeling, it will be difficult for me but after completing the task I analyzed it was not difficult, in fact interesting and helpful. I will continuously use this technique to improve my work.

Thank You “Francesco Cirillo”.
