I am just starting out in the tech industry so my knowlegde is limited. This article really caught my interest because “MVP’s” were part of my training and I would like to have a braoder scope and understanding of what works in the real world. I like your point about leaving the true MVP’s to the sports arena and outstanding achievers! As for leaving them out of the Lean UX process, I’m not sure I completely agree. Wouldn’t a minimum viable product be essentially a Beta version? If so, I would advocate for using the term Beta over MVP.
