I saw this and am feeling super conflicted, because the convenience of an app on my phone for delivery orders is really incredible. I’ll order delivery from a subway platform on my way home when I know I’ll beat it there, and it means I don’t have to wait as long. I can do that on the app during the short time a train is waiting in the station, if I get service in that station, but I can’t make an order by phone during that chunk of time. It makes my life so much easier! And I don’t want to totally screw over the restaurants I like, but I straight-up never order delivery from places that aren’t on Seamless. I’ll go to those restaurants for a sit-down meal, but Seamless is just too damn easy for me to want to get on the phone and be put on hold and then not be certain that they have my order correct.
