*Being Black In America*

Us as black Americans have gone through so much. Like back in the day we were segregated and couldn’t drink from the same fountain as a white person or even walk down the same side walk as a white guy. Fast forward to today, and believe it or not we still are segregated and discriminated against because of our color. Yeah its not like a big sign on the bathroom door saying “whites only” or “blacks only” but look at the facts.

Take the courting system for example. We all know about the guy who went in the church and murdered 9 people right? So why is it when he murdered these people, the police walk with him calmly to the police car and got him some burger king, but when a black teenager is seen jaywalking he gets beaten. When a black woman gets pulled over for a broken tail light, she ends up dead.

Like nothing has changed for real for real. We still treated differently because of our skin tone and to be honest, it probably wont change. People are ignorant and rely too much on stereotypes of a race than actually getting to know that person as an actual person.
