Racoon Supply is thrilled to announce that on March 24th at 5 PM UTC, we will release the alpha version of a permissionless NFT marketplace on Chihuahua Chain. The name and URL of the platform will be unveiled at the same time.
This marks a significant step towards creating a native NFT ecosystem on $HUAHUA. We are confident that the launch of this marketplace will attract new users and increase liquidity on Chihuahua. Moreover, NFT projects are renowned for their ability to foster communities and sub-communities within a blockchain ecosystem by generating a sense of belonging and strengthening social bonds. This is one of the greatest strengths of NFT communities.
Moreover, since $HUAHUA is a permissionless blockchain, users and projects have the freedom to develop their own NFT-related applications and utilities in any way they choose. For instance, a project can mint its own NFT and then create a Play-to-Earn game, deploying it on the Chihuahua Chain without requiring permission from any centralized entity.
Over the past few weeks, developers at Racoon Supply have been building an NFT marketplace on the Chihuahua Chain. The first milestone of this project is to release an alpha version, which will allow users to try out the platform and get a small taste of what the final product will look like. In other words, the alpha version will be used to collect feedback from users and the community, in order to build a marketplace that is tailored to their needs.

Now, let’s clarify what the alpha version entails and what it does not include. The alpha version is a preliminary release that offers an initial look at the platform’s core features, but it is not the final product. We encourage you to try out the alpha version and share your thoughts with us.
Alpha release of the Chihuahua NFT Marketplace
The alpha release is an opportunity for us to collect feedback from the community on all aspects of our platform. Whether you have suggestions for improving the website’s design, color scheme, or the name of the NFT marketplace, or you want to share your thoughts on the smart-contract itself, we want to hear from you.
To provide your feedback, simply click on the “Suggestions” and/or “Report a Bug” buttons at the bottom of the website. We appreciate all feedback, and we are committed to using it to improve the NFT marketplace.
Details about the alpha version
The alpha version of our NFT marketplace will allow users to mint NFTs from three different collections: 16-bit Racs, Chaotic Portraits, and Psychedelic Chihuahuas. Users will be able to mint one NFT from each collection for free. While we invite users to buy and sell these NFTs on the marketplace, doing so is not mandatory.
In addition, there will be two NFT collections available for sale on the marketplace, totaling approximately 80 NFTs with prices ranging from 25,000 $HUAHUA to 75,000 $HUAHUA. These NFTs will be sold by a specific $HUAHUA wallet (address will be released on March 24th). All the funds collected by this wallet will be used for giveaways and lotteries for everyone who participates in the alpha release of the marketplace. Any interaction with the marketplace will make you eligible for these lotteries.
Please note that the marketplace fees are set at 1.5%, and the listing fees for the alpha version are 0.000069 $HUAHUA. All of these fees will be used for lotteries, giveaways, and other games. In other words, we will not keep any of the revenues generated from the alpha release, as we aim to redistribute them to promote the platform and compensate those who have taken the time to try it. Note: the reward tokens in the alpha version are not the real reward tokens that will be issued at the moment of the final release of the marketplace.
What is included in the alpha version
We estimate that the alpha version currently includes around 50–55% of the planned features. Here are some of the features that are included:
- NFT collection search bar (very simple version for the alpha)
- Ability to buy, sell, and update the sale of NFTs, including an expiration date
- Statistics and other information about the top and trending collections
- NFT Collection page will include: collection’s image, description, banner, social links, current floor, NFTs for sale, number of NFTs, etc.
- NFT page will include: collection & NFT information, buy/sale, trade history
- Supports for $HUAHUA only (IBC assets will be enabled in the next version)
- Filtering function on the My Assets page for NFT collections
- Profile page with a “Share your profile” option and the ability to set a profile picture
- VIP system implemented in the smart contract (not yet available on the front-end)
- Price oracle to translate $HUAHUA prices to $USDC
- Mobile compatibility
Please note that while the alpha version includes a significant number of features, it is not the final product. We are committed to continuously improving the NFT marketplace, and your feedback is essential in helping us achieve this goal. Please try out the alpha version and share your thoughts with us. What is not included in this version
While the alpha version of our NFT marketplace includes the majority of the core elements, some features will be enabled in subsequent versions (the beta version will have approximately 90% of the features). Here are some of the features that are not included in the alpha version:
- Ability to make offers and cancel/update offers on any NFTs
- Ability to trade NFTs with $ATOM, $HUAHUA, $OSMO, $WHALE & $JUNO
- Featured collections on the homepage
- Ability to set your profile banner image, NFT showcase, description, and social media links on your profile
- Final version of the price oracle with verifiable randomness and additional crypto asset prices
- Operational VIP system and reward token within the dApp. The initial VIP system will provide discounts on marketplace fees and additional features within your profile. After the official release, more features will be added to the VIP system. Reward tokens will be used to level up within this system and grant access to exclusive features on the marketplace.
- Most of the documentation will be available for anyone to launch their NFT collections and use the marketplace. It is a permissionless marketplace, so everyone is invited to launch their NFTs.
- Additional filter and search options will be added by collection and by NFT to allow for more accurate searches
- Potential release of an open-source random NFT minter
Although the alpha version does not include all the features of the final version, it provides an opportunity for everyone to share their feedback and ideas. Your input will help us create a product that everyone can enjoy.
The main purpose of the alpha version is to showcase the foundation of the marketplace and gather feedback from the community. We are committed to creating a platform that meets the needs of our users, and your feedback is crucial in helping us achieve this goal.
Early users
As a thank you for participating in the alpha release of our NFT marketplace, all alpha users will receive a certain amount of reward tokens. These tokens can be used in the final version of the platform to access exclusive features and benefits. The amount of reward tokens received will depend on the user’s interactions with the marketplace during the alpha and beta versions.
