Thank you for this article. My personal meta analysis is now complete: I will continue on my present course — to moderately restrict my refined sugar intake and highly restrict my artificial sweetener intake, and not invest a photon’s energy of worry about how bad these things are for me.
More seriously, I believe in living a balanced lifestyle with plenty (and variety) of physical activity and minimal processed foods consumption. So far, it’s been working great, and allows me to fully savor and appreciate things like: ice cream, chips, even a cigarette every once in a while. No regrets on my death bed — that’s my mantra.
