On Lizzo: Let’s Call A Thing A Thing

Yesterday I went to a community meeting with a group of well-meaning, like-minded people, working to improve our neighborhood public schools. Toward the end of the meeting we talked about next steps and the date for the next meeting. I said I may have a conflict. I’m on the wait list for Lizzo tickets. Number 16, actually, so I’m holding out hope. The mere mention of Lizzo’s name completely shifted the energy in the room.
