SEIZE THE DAY

With every sunrise, without any exception, you are given a new day. It’s called today.

You will only get one shot at it.

You have only twenty-four hours with which to take it.

And then it is gone forever.

Will you seize the moments of today and get the maximum out of them?

Will you do your very best to become a better version of yourself and help others around you?

Do you know what you have to do today before it’s gone and becomes the past?

If you answered “no” to some of these questions, then here are some simple techniques to help you seize every day.

The Power Of Now

“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” — Buddha

Live in the present, let go of the past and don’t worry about the future.

You cannot move forward when your past weighs you down.

If you have made mistakes in your past, stop regretting and use them wisely.

Learn from your mistakes, use them to grow and make better decisions for the future.

Stop worrying about the future. About what will go wrong and what will go right.

You can plan and make decisions, but you cannot control everything.

Worrying is a negative-goal setting.

Do your best today and trust the universe will do its job.

Prioritize

You have a limited number of hours per day, and you have to use them wisely.

You should be proactive and decide what’s important and what’s not.

You should have clear goals in life. Any task we do is either getting us closer to your goals or farther. You should be smart about choosing our tasks.

People tend to minimize the impact of the small thing, but with the compound effect, a small daily action can have a huge impact on your life a few years from now.

Start Small, Start Now

“A journey of a thousand steps begins with a single one” is a common saying that originated from a famous Chinese proverb. This saying teaches that even the longest and most difficult ventures have a starting point; something which begins with one first step.

No matter how big or small your endeavor is, each of your ambitions begins when you make that tiny first step.

Every achiever starts small, and so should you.

There’s no better way to seize the day than doing it now, right where you are.

As the famous Nike slogan prods us, “just do it.”

Train Your Mind.

The most powerful asset we all have is our mind. If it is trained well, it can create miracles.

Your mind is constantly bombarded by negative messages from outside, and sometimes from within.

It’s important to cleanse it on a regular basis to have clear thoughts and be able to seize the present moment.

Meditation is a simple yet powerful technique to remove from your mind all the negative things that may be preventing you from seizing the day.

The same way you cleanse your body, you should cleanse your mind.

Make meditation part of your daily routine. Spend a few minutes each day alone in a quiet spot. Sit still, breathe deeply in your belly, and focus on your breath in and out. Do at least 10 minutes everyday, and you’ll be amazed by the results.

Slow Down And Enjoy The Journey

Happiness is not a destination. It’s a journey.

If you wait to achieve success to become happy, you’re missing your life.

Take time every single day to slow down, reflect why you’re doing what you’re doing, be grateful and enjoy your journey.

Now, when someone asks you what you did today, do you really want the answer to be “nothing”?

Let’s seize the day and don’t die regretting the time you lose.
