The 1 Minute Self Love Practice

Today, I’m feeling called to write about self-love.

In January, almost everyone is trying their hardest to keep their resolutions and many feel like they are failing.

I’m here to remind you: it’s okay! You’re wonderful and beautiful just as you are. If you have a goal in mind and you’ve been behind on that goal, don’t fret, don’t say it’s not worth it just because you missed a few days, and don’t give up.

The 1-Min Self-Love Practice

Best when accompanied by a cup of coffee, tea and a lit candle nearby. Use this practice when you hear the voice in your head saying you’re not fit enough, not eating healthy enough, not setting boundaries enough, or anything else.

Tell that voice to take a hike for a second.

Sit down, get comfy. Take a deep breath in, and a deep breath out. Place both hands on your heart. Then repeat 3–4 times: I am enough. I am enough. It can be out loud in a gentle whisper or in your head.

Sit there for 30 seconds simply listening to your breath ease in and out, letting the love you feel in your heart radiate around your body like a warm sunny glow.

Once you feel ready to come back into the body, do so with gentleness and kindness towards yourself.

Just Remember…

Tomorrow is another day. Simply start again. Every day is a new day to start a brand new life.

You ARE enough. Just as you are.
