We (humans) are animals. There is no god. We are on our own in a cold, indifferent universe. All we can do is deal with it. We are born like animals, we mate like animals, we die like animals. All we can do is try to do more good than harm, as best we can. I will finish with a story. When I was young I did not pick my parents well and I was almost totally fucked up. Gradually, I managed to get a life. In the process, I went to a party. I wanted to appear sophisticated and hip. I used the word “fellatio.” I mispronounced it. I should have said, “I want a blow job.” Don’t try to be pretentious.
