Top 500 Football Accounts on Instagram

Instagram has recently reached 1 billion monthly active users and is now the fastest growing social network.

For many football clubs, leagues and players, Instagram is now #1 platform to connect with their fans around the world, overtaking Facebook. At least that’s what I noticed while working with Kickly.

I’ve made a research on the most followed Instagram accounts related to football, and that includes:

• Football Clubs (ex: realmadrid, fcbarcelona, manchesterunited)
• National Teams (ex: equipedefrance, cbf_futebol, england)
• Competitions (ex: championsleague, premierleague, laliga)
• Media (ex: 433, sporf, rldesignz, visubal)
• Brands related to football (ex: nikefootball, adidasfootball, beinsports)
• Club Communities (ex: juvefanpage, realmadrid.hub, barca_pictures and other accounts built around football clubs)

Please note that I didn’t include players’ accounts. I will make a separate research on that.
