Snow Globe

Unlike Atlas,

I’m no hero —

Just a schmuck with

Shoulder pain.

But when I

Held you close,

The air was less cold,

And the weight of the world?

Just a snow globe.

You hop on,

Hop off,

Like a Boston duck tour

With nothing to show for

But a splash and a receipt.

I can’t carry

The first-world

On my shoulders.

I’m not built like that.

But please return my snow globe,

’Cause Babe, I want you back.
