The Dedication

Because 2016 has to explosive….

After a short conversation with a new found friend, I’ve realized that you have to be unapologetically in love with your craft in order to go to the next level. And I’m talking tunnel vision, full speed ahead, no remorse.

I completed my “Unraveling 2015” workbook last night, and after much reflection, I realized that the 2015 chapter of my career love story was just the intro. It was just the set up. I haven’t even began to unlock all the potential that I have stored up inside of me and 2016 will be the year. I feel it.

Myleik Teele says we have to be ignorant ambitious, so my goals for the year will probably seem outlandish to most, but I know EVERYTHING is in reach and I’m not worried at all. Hard work & Dedication will help me thrive this year.

I’ve selected “self” as my word of the year. 2016 will be dedicated to self-health, self-awareness, self-love…..all things “Me.” If you’re anything like me, you have a tendency to want to make everyone happy, and put everyone before yourself. I’ve realized that if you give of yourself until you’re drained, you won’t be any good to anyone….Including yourself.

So, promise me this, this year you’ll dedicate a portion of your life/time/being to your craft or something new because we can’t neglect out dreams and we need to keep it fresh. There is nothing holding us back from making 2016 the most explosive and transformational year of our lives.

Use this year to escape from your comfort zone. Do some things you never dreamed or imagined you would do. The comfort zone is a breeding ground for complacency and in order to level up, we have got to escape from the habit of always wanting to be “comfy.”

Do away with fear and step out on faith. Faith in yourself, Faith in your abilities and Faith in the Most High (whoever that may be in your walk of life). But most importantly, I want you to be happy. Genuinely and extremely happy. We’re all in this thing together. Let’s make these next 364 days life-changing and completely refreshing!
