“Collector’s Fallacy,”
The Collector’s Fallacy: Why We Gather Things We Don’t Need
Charles Chu

Gotta admit that I suffer from this. One of the ways I deal with this is to shelf the collected item. Then I devote a particular time to read and process this. However, there is no such thing as absolute objectivity since the message a set of collected works give will be understood through the filter of our minds and experiences. When I read these, I look for related items, then use these works, along with my experiences and works, to determine my stance in life.
