Lesson 8 | Methods of Using Your Subconscious Mind Part 3
· Before describing the “classic method,” two more tools of the subconscious mind need to be explained: “triggers” and “instant playback.”
Triggers and conditioned responses
· Conditioned refers to linking an action to a conditional action, event, or word.
· Trigger refers to the word or thing that helps you get into a mode or state.
· Example: you will say the word Alpha and instantly get into the alpha state
· Example: for self-confidence, you may think of a picture of Teddy Roosevelt.
Instant playback
· Einstein said, “Time is relative.”
· Time is what you perceive it to be.
· Instant Playback: Once a neuro pattern is ingrained in our brain, it’s easy for our subconscious to recall how to do it.
Step 1: write an affirmation.
· Writing: The affirmation should be broad to cover every aspect of the new concept you want in your subconscious mind. (could be in one page or ten)
· Wording: Use keywords to evoke feelings, images, and emotions.
· Example: Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Imagine waking up bathed in golden sunlight, your body feeling light and energized. Every cell vibrates with vitality, like a million tiny suns. You move with the grace of a mountain stream, your muscles strong and supple. Imagine your lungs, vast and straightforward, taking in crisp, refreshing air. Each breath fills you with a sense of peace and well-being. You are a radiant beacon of health, a testament to the body’s unique ability to heal and thrive. With every step, you feel the joy of a vibrant life coursing through you. You are healthy, whole, and ready to embrace each day with boundless energy and enthusiasm. (AI-Generated)
· Be realistic: Be bold in what you want to accomplish, but unrealistic may cause discouragement and loss of confidence. If you are 72 years old, having a goal of winning the Wimbledon championship would be unrealistic. Seek excellence, not perfection.
· An exception to be realistic Is healing alignment. I believe anything is possible concerning health. Spontaneous healings have been documented. This has to do with a change in attitude.
· Use Present tense: The subconscious mind works with the present tense
· Be positive: turn your phrases to positive always. Don’t use a negative such as “I am not afraid” because you emphasize being afraid and place “being afraid” in your mind. Instead, think, “I am poised and confident.”
· Be specific: When picturing something, be specific.
· Personalize it: Write it in your own words
· Stress Activity: See yourself doing and being. “I am poised under all conditions. I see myself acting courageously in an emergency. I am alert and go into action.”
· Use all of your senses: Use words that make you hear, smell, taste, and feel.
· Be Emotional: Emotion is energy. Get excited. I’m so happy that tears are running down my cheek… I gladly…I enjoy…etc.
· Permissive vs. Authoritative: Use the permissive over the authoritarian.
· Permissive Example: “You may relax.” “Now allow my arms to relax.”
· Authoritative Example: “I command my arms to relax now.”
· Permissive wording is better if it gets results; if your subconscious does not comply, use the alternative.
Step 2: Attach a Trigger
· Attach a trigger word to your affirmation
Step 3: Plant your affirmation
· You can embed our affirmation in your subconscious in two ways: (1) read it aloud into the alpha state.
· The other method is to record your affirmation on tape. Then go into the alpha state (you can add the alpha state routine before the affirmation)
Step 4: Repeat
· Repeat the affirmation every day for a week, every week for a month, every month for a year, and then every year!
Step 5: Grouping Affirmations
· A lot of Time can be saved by grouping affirmations and using the “instant playback” technique.
· Example: a suggested grouping could be to use a fruit, flower, or color per rigger for each affirmation. For Example, you could use:
o Apple for Health affirmation
o A pear for success
o Grapes for relationships
o Banana for abundance
Health Affirmation Conditioning Exercise
· It’s intended to bring your subconscious mind to the foreground and saturate it with concepts of excellent health.
· A relaxation routine is placed at the start to take you into a deep state of Alpha.
· Once you master the alpha state with a trigger word, you can remove it.
· Get comfortable in an easy chair, close your eyes, and playback the tape
