Jews of all colors are hurt by hesitation to name danger. Black people of all faiths are hurt by the daily acceptance of danger.

The View’s Megan McCain once went bananas when people assumed most Trump backers were being racist. McCain used her father’s memory as an example of being clear of racism. She did not cite her father’s vote against the Civil Rights Act and against divestment from South African Apartheid and at least 6 times against sanctions. She did not cite his refusal to back even the holiday for MLK which we are all about to celebrate.

This view doesn’t end with Republicans. Even as Black women continue to lead Democratic voters more than any other, DNC staff emails have shown derision of the names of Black women and culture, objectification of Latinx voters and antisemitic plans of attack on Bernie Sanders. Local State Democratic offices followed the lead, even in Cuomo’s race in New York where antisemitic mailers were used to manipulate Jewish voters.
