🎟️ Raffle.land is a dApp where everyone can easily create a raffle in blockchain. This post is about how it works and how to use.
What is a dApp?
“A decentralized application (dApp) is an application that can operate autonomously, typically through the use of smart contracts, that runs on a decentralized computing, blockchain system.” — Wikipedia
Which blockchain Raffle.Land use?
Raffle.land’s smart contract is running in Binance Smart Chain blockchain.
Who can use?
Everyone with MetaMask wallet installed in your browser.
Which cryptocurrencies are accepted?
The only cryptocurrency accept is BNB (Binance Coin).
How to connect your MetaMask wallet?
Your first step is to connect your MetaMask wallet. To connect your wallet you need to click at the button “Connect MetaMask” at the top of the website. After that MetaMask will open and you need to select which account(s) you want to connect to. After connecting your MetaMask wallet you will be able to buy tickets and create raffles.
How to buy tickets?
First of all, choose the raffle that you want to buy. You can check all raffles available here. After setting the quantity, click at the button “Buy tickets”. Your MetaMask will open to approve the transaction then you click in “Confirm” and that’s it. Now you just need to wait until the raffle’s finished so you can check if you win the prize.
When will the raffle finish?
There are two possibilities when the raffle ends. First one is when the raffle reaches the tickets selling goal — set by the raffle creator — And the second one is if the raffle expires. All raffles expire 30 days after their creation.
How to know if you are the winner?
After the raffle is finished a button will appear “Check now” so you can click and check if you are the winner.
How to claim your reward? (if you are the winner)
After clicking in “Check now”, a “Claim reward” button will appear and after clicking it your MetaMask will open to approve the transaction. Click in “Confirm” and wait a few minutes to receive in your wallet the prize pool value.
How to create a raffle?
To create a raffle access this link then fill the information bellow:
- Raffle name
Give your raffle a title - Ticket price
Define your raffle ticket price - Ticket quantity
You are free to define how many tickets will be available to sell, but be aware that is a limit. Once the limit has been reached, the raffle will terminate automatically. - Prize pool percentage
What percentage of ticket sales would you like to be converted into the prize pool?
How much to create a raffle?
The raffle creation is free, but 5% of ticket sales go towards app maintenance.
How to claim your raffle profit? (If you are the raffle creator)
To claim your profit you need to be connected to the wallet that the raffle was created. Ensure this connection and access your raffle link. You will see a “Claim balance” button, so you can click on it and your MetaMask will open to approve the transaction. Finally, you click in “Confirm” and wait a few minutes to receive in your wallet the raffle’s profit.
