Humans Will Write

Ever since civilisation began, mankind has been inventing solutions and mediums through which they express themselves. The primary and most ubiquitous of these is writing.

The ability to communicate through writing is important to existence on this earth and imperative to contribution to society.

Every single thing ever created began with words. Writing is the first stage of actualisation of an idea - it transforms ideas from mental impulses into a tangibility. It bridges the gap between conceptualisation and actualisation. There isn’t a single cognitive thought process or fantastical fabrication that can be fully realised without writing.

The magic of writing is that we all use the same vocabulary and what gives our writing individuality is the diction and word arrangement that we choose. That’s part of a much broader notion that ‘there is nothing new under the sun’. All technology is just advanced application of sciences existing since the dawn of the universe. In this vein, texts are simply a selected arrangement of the same words used to say something completely new and never before imagined.

In the context of the real world, there isn’t a product launch that occurs where text is absent. Most good designers tend to be good writers as well, because design and writing are parallels that sit permanently adjacent to one another within the realm of expression.

As the web advances, we’re constantly finding new ways to express ourselves through it. Twitter for short-form, Medium for long-form, YouTube for videos, Vine for short clips - the list goes on. The focal objective of the web today is to be a social mouthpiece to the masses and a gateway to all seeking to be heard.

Writing has never been easier. It’s easy to reach audiences through the internet freely and effortlessly and anyone can do it. Now, you don’t have to be an expert to write - you just have to know how to present an idea and throw your weight behind it. We’re free to use the internet as a public notebook for our views and ideas.

Expression is such an integral element of our world. The more people are writing the easier it becomes, and the world becomes a more connected place consequently. If our ideas are stimulated by those of others, then the greater the supply of inspiration we receive from other people, the more superior our own ideas will be.

Where humans will create, humans will write.
