Can You Walk The Walk?….
Have you ever noticed how sometimes, people are not always what they first seem to be? It sure has been an eye opener for me to see how others operate and conduct themselves behind the scenes.
It is great when you sit back, take stock and learn by your mistakes! There are many out there who talk a good talk but don’t really walk the walk! You will find a few who take the “Blow Fish” syndrome just a step too far (the reality is just a fish that is full of wind and looks bigger than they really are). They actually think that social media would fall down around our feet without them! Thankfully they are in the minority.
You really can spot the fakes ~ they all show their true colours eventually. However, the good guys outweigh the bad 1,000,000–1. I have met so many genuine people on the social media front and learned some truly great skills and made some good friends — not to mention spending some well deserved pennies on treating myself — well one has to show support in this world and treat oneself from time to time….that is my excuse anyway ;)
The biggest thing I have learned on my journey so far, is to always be yourself, the more you are true to yourself, the more successful you will be. It is easy to get caught up with all the freebie offers thrown at you to grow your audience and gain more followers etc., but, numbers don’t mean everything! You can have thousands of followers and look like you are the most popular person around but it all stands for nothing if you are fake. You want real people and a targeted audience, one that will help you in your business and make you grow and get noticed for all the right reasons. Don’t pretend to be something you are not. It simply does not work.
Also, you need to keep in touch with your connections, that is important. Interact with them, don’t make it all one sided. Let your personality shine! Be yourself! Keep that conscience clear and keep strong. You have to develop broad shoulders in this line of business. You cannot fall at the fist sign of a struggle. Hey…. you can go for days without anybody so much as noticing you are posting your heart out. Then other days, the same posts, at the same time, can go crazy! You must not take things personally. It will simply destroy you if you do that! Keep strong and keep moving ~ never give up!
Take one step at a time and you will be amazed at the end result. The view just keeps getting better and better! You will find all that hard work pays off.
Content creation within the social media sector can be fun. Sometimes you just need to stop and think and take one step at a time. Keep looking forward and let your experiences make you grow and become stronger.
Talk the talk but make sure you walk the walk too…..
Chat soon folks.
