Raheja Developers initiates affordable housing scheme

The DDA affordable housing scheme has come towards allotment and closure and finally is about to be over. While only 25000 of the approximate 8.5 lakh applicants will be allotted a ‘flat’ under this scheme, the rest 8.25 lakh applicants who have not been equally lucky whose dream has not been realized still stand a chance. The Haryana government has come up with an ‘Affordable Housing Scheme’ just like DDA’s, to help recognize the goal of shelter for all.

At locations like Gurgaon, Sohna, Faridabad, Dharuhera, Panchkula, etc. current prices of property are outwardly way beyond affordability for the common man, especially considering that they’re on ‘Super Area’ basis. Haryana Affordable Housing offers locations within these geographies at chargeable as per ‘Carpet Area’ at Rs. 3600 to Rs.4000/- sq. ft. including EDC/IDC and other charges. From a comparative perspective, Super (chargeable) to Carpet Area’s (useable) area has 28–35% differential so while we as consumers pay for Super area, we realize only the Carpet and under this scheme, exactly like the DDA scheme, we pay for Carpet area realized, making these prices very attractive as compared to those on the offing in the said locations. To add to the benefits of the consumers, the scheme also offers ‘free maintenance for 5 (five) years’ to the occupants.

Raheja Developers, under the affordable housing policy of the Government of Haryana, have launched Krishna Affordable Housing Scheme in Sector 14, Sohna, located close to the Sohna — Gurgaon road, which is approximately 12 kms from Gurgaon. It is a group housing project spread across 10 acres & shall be having 4 towers with escalators for all 12 floors; with a total of 1660 apartments priced at Rs 3,600 per sq ft, to be sold on carpet area basis. Along with the benefit of almost 30% extra area, the balcony areas under this scheme are priced at Rs 500 per sq ft. A community centre, lavish green areas & commercial centre adorn the site, along with an additional benefit of choosing from two types of 1 and 2 BHK apartments.

With the current trend of ever escalating property prices in Delhi and NCR, the affordable housing scheme promoted by the Haryana Government serves as an oasis in the desert for end users at very reasonable rates, and the contribution by Raheja Developers only goes to show their commitment of understanding the needs of consumers and delivering accordingly.
