Body Meditations *first draft edit*

On April 5th, 1992, Olga Sučić and Suada Dilberović were one of the first female victims killed in the beginning of the siege of Sarajevo. With this as a point of reference, I attempt to represent bodily gestures and actions that symbolize persistence, struggle, and abuse that women experience in their countries during political conflict. Sarajevo is my platform for location and sound, the people of the city are my collaborators, and the thematic issue of a woman past/present is the fire behind the piece.
