Are You Really Living?
They say, ‘Don’t add days to your life, add life to your days’. How many times have you sat at the end of the day, and said to yourself, ‘Ah! Today was a great day.’?
There are so many people on this Earth who are simply not recognizing the beauty of life around them. It is when this beauty is taken away, do they realize the underestimation of the what was around them all that while. What is the reason for this unfortunate way of life? The answer is not so simple.
One of the biggest things people chase is money. We all need money to survive in this highly competitive world. Cities, States, Countries, all these function well when there is a stabilized economy in place that shows signs of growth each year. Businesses too need a steady stream of income to stay afloat.
And who drives these institutions? Humans. The hard-working, determined, hustling humans who toil to earn their money & ensure the growth of businesses. They work day in day, day out to achieve business goals & get the raise that they believe they will soon get. While some absolutely love it, many wait for the weekends when they can finally give some time to their families & themselves. This cycle continues for years & years until they retire. Retire with pride & appreciation from family & peers. Now they can finally live with the savings accrued over time & live in peace until they bid goodbye.
But is that it? Work hard, earn money, feed our families, take care of social responsibilities & save enough money for retirement.
Take a pause. Stare at the world around. For a moment, drown in nature. Look up to the cotton clouds amidst the blissful sunshine & imagine yourself flying amongst the angelic birds. You are nature. You are part of every bit of it. Don’t let the worries of the materialistic world knock at your head again. Be one with nature & comprehend the depth of what is around you.
The point is to truly live each day appreciating the gift of life & sharing happiness with others. Don’t let any aspect of the materialistic world bother you. Remember, you will be gone one day. Don’t look back in regret. Be proud of the world you would have lived.
So, are you truly living each day? Go do what you have always wanted to do, talk to the person you love & weed out all the negativity in life.
