Nothing new but another article ranting about how the India startup ecosystem is not able to produce innovative and world-class products. While the points on valuation and high burn rates are true but are not new. A lot of people in the startup ecosystem often talk about this.

You lost me at “riding on the past laurels of IITs”. Ask someone senior in your family how many of them knew about the IIT alumnus that are sitting on top seats. It takes more than a decade or two prove your worth and be someone big.

When you can’t get inside the water, don’t teach/ preach on how to swim. PayTM, redBus, OYO and there are lot more startups that are doing something new, building on the Indian need. All we need is to start appreciating such ideas.
