This is such a good way to explain things. I often have difficulties conceptualizing all the different facets of gender (and the gender/sex binary) and this breaks it down beautifully. Many people assume that forced gendering at birth or gender roles are the sole issue facing trans/nonbinary people and this makes it obvious that while gender roles do heavily impact trans/nonbinary people, it’s more than just making gender assumptions go away. It’s about not implying that you have to be one or the other and not thinking of the world in binaries. I love this piece and will definitely be using it to explain things from now on!
