“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” we never miss this beautiful word by Steve Jobs.
A few days ago, my wife reminded me of the long-pending garden work. No second thought, I immediately hired Subbaiah, a gardener work in the nearby park. I notice him talking to the flowers and trees during my daily walk. He understands the trick and knows when to prune what. He handles plants and trees like how a father treats his son with love and care.
On the other hand, recently I visited a consumer durable shop and happened to interact with the customer service manager Dextor about my washer service. He listens carefully, asked a few questions and understood the problem. He quickly gets into the action, called one of his team managers and explained the technical issue of my washer. He confirmed to me that the work shall get solved before evening. To my surprise, it is done in a few hours, which was pending for weeks.
On both of the above situation, I like their passion for their work.
We come across many people in our daily life and easily sense whether they love their job or if it is a duty to them. It is important to enjoy what you do.
Why should we work?
Money, Yes correct and the reason we work is to discover our interest and push ourselves to our limits, fulfilling our ambitions and finally it should give us a purpose.
Love your work or work on what you love!
