I strongly disagree with your approach.. You will get a person lost and never want to try Linux.. For a new user coming from a proprietary OS, if things don’t work out of the BOX they get frustrated, on top of that learning a new Operating System and a new UI is always going to be tough (Ubuntu had Unity now it has Gnome).. So please think about it once more and don’t write such casual articles just because you can.. You need to thing rational when you want someone to embrace Linux, you need to prep the user for what is coming.. Make proper choice of distribution for getting their feet wet.. Understand what is it they actually do with their computers, what kind of hardware do they have, What if they have a laptop with an Optimus powered Hybrid Graphics configuration? Linux runs like Shit on that System.. So much screen tearing, There is no Dynamic Graphics switching support under Linux unless you install something like bumblebee etc.. So Embracing Linux is nothing like what you have mentioned. What you are saying looks good to someone who is a highly technical Individual. A new user will definitely get lost following your article..
