The basic things I got from your post was that you already knew a lot stuff but that is not the case for everyone.

  1. Deciding the research topic takes half of the strength and confidence away.
  2. If you find the topic then to get the right approach to the solution has no definite direction.
  3. Also from what I have heard is you will need a professor to do a good research project
  4. And finally where do you present. All don’t have a good state level university to present their such projects. I mean please let me know if I am missing some places of which I never thought where I could present and get insights

I am not trying to be negative here but this is what why I have redirected myself from going on this path besides my greatest desire and will.
