Capitalism has been the bed rock of everything business has done since demise of imperialism, which off course ruled far longer than capitalism should… purely due the rapid iterations undergoing in out entire ecosystem (with mankind being one of the payers in the game not the game!) in a slightly longer time perspective, tech has destabilized imperialism and in many ways given rise to capitalism via industrial age… and we are all noticing now the next upheaval taking roots, its not just capitalism that’s being questioned, its the idea of nations and boundaries that’s being questioned, the real change is going to hit sooner than expected, as nationalities already are a threatened commodity. What’s missing is the clear signs of emergence… a new order (sounds like science fiction! ! ) , a win win narrative like what capitalism was able to offer powered by technology since 1800’s, a new narrative is waiting to coagulate and become visible.
I think the tech that built capitalism — its days are surly over, there is tremendous work to be done with tech though— a new evolved state of tech to build the next evolutionary global habitat
(my two bits… could not help but get it out :-) )
