Will DeKrey I disagree with this. The best approach is somewhere in the middle which means you try to retain a performer by checking if there is something lacking in the job content and whether you can enhance it for him to stick around, but if the person is leaving simply for higher role/growth which you cannot match, you must celebrate the person’s success and let everyone in the team know about it.
