An experiment in a country caused great damage to humankind. The ongoing research leads to a deadly novel coronavirus, which spread when one comes in contact with other infected humans. Many people have lost their lives. And remaining have quarantined themselves.

10 Ways to Stay Productive In Quarantine

Being quarantined has its own boons and banes. On the brighter side, we get to spend time with our family, we can learn new skills. We can do whatever we ever wanted to do. We can eat anytime, sleep anytime. This is basically the time for everything that we have left behind. But, Is this really simple? In this period, we gradually have lost our interest from work and from everything. We are spending more time procrastinating than doing some productive work. It seems so difficult to go back to our routine. Boredom has surrounded us from all the sides and we have lost to it. What if I tell you that you can go back to your previous routine and start over this period all over again with the double-time productivity this time. But here are the steps that are required for you to take.

1. Wake Up Early

Waking up early is a great habit one can follow. When you wake up early, you will feel more productive. The reason behind this is when you wake up early morning, then your mind tends to believe to think that you have a big day ahead to work with. And you can start your day calmly with everything being organized. Your mind will be positive and relaxed. It also boosts your energy and helps your skin look healthy. So, it is a win-win situation.

2. Make Your Bed

After waking up early, you will have more time to do the things that are mentioned in this story. One of which is making your bed. You should make your bed right after waking up. Making your bed will help you in organizing your mind. And you will feel a sense of accomplishment right after this session which will make you feel more productive. And with this attitude, you will accomplish all the positive things without letting your mind get distracted. This is the power of Making Bed right after waking up.

If you are getting up late, and you feel you don't have time for this. Think twice, this will not make you late but doing this you will get more productive and less distracted by other things. And Making your Bed will hardly take 2 minutes. In conclusion, there is now no excuse for neglecting to make your bed.

3. Hydrate Yourself

You all know the necessity of drinking water right after waking up but many people still missed doing it. Because they really don't know the benefits of it. You may think that the negativity that is going on within you is a part of you. But, actually, water brings the positivity inside your body. I can write a whole new post on the benefits of water, but here are the highlights. You can eliminate tiredness and fatigue by drinking 2–3 glasses of water right after waking up which will increase your alertness. It can lead to better memory and brain function with lesser mood swings. It helps you in boosting your metabolism, your skin looks healthy, you get rid of toxins.

If you are trying to lose weight, guess what drink more water. As you feel less hungry and your cravings for the day will be reduced. So, what is stopping you now. Go get a glass of water for yourself.

4. Journaling

Most of you are not even familiar with this term. Well, let me ask you something, what are you doing in your life without it.

Do you want to release all the things that are bothering you? Do you want people to embrace you? Do you want people to praise everything you do? DO YOU WANT TO FEEL HAPPY? If any of your answers is yes, start journaling now.

Journaling will help you keep your thoughts organized. You can set goals & achieve them by writing them down. It may help you know yourself better. It will boost your memory. You can get ideas to grow yourself and your business better.

Journaling is the best part of my day. Believe me, this is the best morning routine you can adapt to. Writing about what is going on in your mind on paper is the best thing. You can plan your day, or do morning pages, gratitude, self-love, and many more. This will organize your mind and direct your mind int the positive and right direction. You can also make a to-do list which is also a great habit to adopt, through this you can plan your day and get less distracted because now you know what to do and where are you right now in your tasks.

5. Eating healthy

First, let me tell you what happens if we don't eat healthily. Poor nutrition can contribute to stress, tiredness, and our capacity to work, and over time, it can contribute to the risk of developing some illnesses and other health problems such as: being overweight or obese. tooth decay. high blood pressure.

A healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy can help to reduce your risk of heart disease by maintaining blood pressure and cholesterol levels. A well-balanced diet provides all of the:

  • energy you need to keep active throughout the day
  • nutrients you need for growth and repair, helping you to stay strong and healthy and help to prevent diet-related illness, such as some cancers

Keeping active and eating a healthy balanced diet can also help you to maintain a healthy weight.

Some researches say, that you should eat your breakfast within half an hour after waking up. Some say to eat within an hour or within two hours. Don’t listen to any of this myth, listen to your body. Every body is different. Listen to your body, if you feel hungry just after waking up, eat then.

6. Exercise

Exercise is a great way to start your day and it also helps in boosting your energy. According to some researchers, while exercising your brain releases a chemical called endorphins. It is a type of chemical messenger that helps to relieve pain and stress. Physical activity also stimulates the release of dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. These brain chemicals play an important part in regulating your mood.

Regular exercise also helps balance your body’s level of stress hormones, such as adrenaline. Adrenaline plays a crucial role in your fight-or-flight response, but too much of it can damage your health.

7. Meditate

Mornings are a time to relax your mind. Our mind is filled with so many negative things that we engage in our day-to-day lives. So, it becomes necessary to relax our mind and put it in the right direction. A 15 -minutes meditation practice can make a lot of difference in our way of thinking. It plays a great role in improving our mental health. Improving our mental health can change the way of our dealing with day-to-day activities. It improves our productiveness in our work and helps in decluttering our minds. And an organized mind can do wonders.

A 5-minutes of meditation can relax your mind and make your rest of the day more productive and full of happiness.

8. Organize Your Physical Environment

Sometimes we all feel mentally drained even after just waking up. This can happen to anyone. But the reason behind this is disorganization, whether in your thoughts or in your physical surroundings.

Researches shows, when some people do not find clarity, they tend to organize their physical surroundings. This way, they feel light and accomplished. And after doing all the work that was needed to be done, they are left only with their disorganized thoughts. And then, they are able to deal with them. This is human behavior. This applies to every single person. This applies to you too whether you agree or not.

When you organize the physical things around you, you actually are cleaning your thoughts. Because somehow you will feel stressed under a filthy place or a place that is loaded with so many things and make a negative impact on your mind.

So, next time you are having a Brain fog, try organizing your physical surroundings. This will make your brain to focus better and think sharper.

9. Avoid distractions:

This one is really a difficult step. Every human being struggles to shut the distractions out of their lives. After all, we all are humans, we tend to distract easily, whether it is our favorite Netflix show or a call from a friend or facebook, instagram, or tiktok. Then we don't know where the time flies and we fall behind from the work we schedule for that day. This DECREASES our productivity, as we waste the rest of the day too thinking you are not good, not productive, get distracted easily. Stop feeling like that, if you want to improve your productivity, shut out all the things that distract you.

You get easily distracted by your phone, put it on the Zen mode. You get easily distracted by watching your favorite show, just switch off that f****** T.V. Anyone can do this. YOU can do this. Just focus on your to-do list of the day and complete your tasks.

TIP: If you think to spend only 5 minutes on facebook, instagram, or tiktok to get clarity or to relax between your work timings. Then DO NOT do it. Because one minute of distraction can lead to wastage of several hours.

10. Do the Work You Are Supposed To Do

You are now probably thinking, only a psycho can do all these things. Well, you are not wrong. It takes a lot of effort to make your mind stay productive throughout your day. If you do all your important tasks in the first half of the day, then you will have a whole evening to spend on the things you like. This way you will feel more productive and maybe your evening gives you an idea on making your future better.

This is a simple routine that everyone should follow in order to stay productive. This all will help you focus better and shift your mind in the right direction.
