Ashok Leyland company started on September 7 of 1948. The first headquarters was Born in Ennore Chennai by Raghunandan Saran. The Frist name of Ashok Leyland company was named as Ashok Motors. Ashok Motors Founder was
Raghunandan Saran. Also called as Mr.Saran
The first vehicle was Austin car which was made in 1949. After many year Mr.Saran thought to move the country he just not needed cars they needed big big buses and trucks. For selling the truck and busses was not easy. They have to buy new Technology and License. After persistent followed by Manu Bhai, Leyland decided to enter India and asked Manu Bhai to transform his license from automotive to Ashok Leyland (the new name of Ashok Motors). You all think how Ashok Motors changed to Ashok Leyland. For technology Mr.Saran tied up with best international company the Leyland Motors UK.As it the name was changed into Ashok Leyland.
Before building trucks, buses Mr. Saran had a terrible plane crash and End of Mr. Saran journey. At that time all workers helped to grow the company. His wife Mrs. Raksha Saran joined Ashok Leyland’s Frist board. And the Frist Managing director was Mr. AEL Collins in 1954 as 5 years of Assignment as Manu Bhai also becomes director. the Frist chairman was Mr. A Ramaswamy Mudaliar. The team work which made the company change. On 1955 Ashok Leyland make it’s 1000th Vehicles called comet Tall and wide.
But people was not able to buy so Ashok Leyland mad way to buy it. It is like shooting star becuse it took all over the world. At that time to stop Buses it was not Easy to stop immediately so with the help of break’s India they made full Air Breaks in Tucks and buses. The Indian army’s came for there Trucks. it was the Hippo Tipper only for protecting our boundary’s as if they did not stopped they making vehicles. They made new buses like Titan, Viking, cheetah this all made with power steering for first time ever.
Hippo Tipper was especially made for army and it was build on 1970
Titan bus was build on 1967
Viking bus was build on 1976
Cheetah bus was build on 1978
