But it isn’t just plotters though is it? I’m a lefty and I don’t think Corbyn can win an election and should go. Lots of other ordinary members think the same.

Even if Corbyn stays how is he realistically going to run an opposition when at war with almost the entirety of the PLP. It will be a disaster.

If you goal is to see left wing policies put into action by a more left wing government then there is only one sensible course of action now.

Personally I didn’t vote for Corbyn last year despite him resonating with me more than any potential leadership candidate in my lifetime, because I anticipated this situation.

The cause of the left will not be enhanced by us being out of power for a generation. Nor will it be enhanced if the Labour party splits but we keep FPTP.
