Yes, there is good evidence that prolonged consumption of artificial sweeteners is bad for your health, just not the results of this study. There are many scientific studies that show that chronic consumption of artificial sweeteners produces changes in the gut’s microbiome composition in a way that leads to obesity, metabolic syndrome, and subsequently Type II diabetes. That’s bad.
