Is it really possible to see your dream life in this earth? Definitely, it is possible.
For every dream, there is a way to achieve it. However, couple of devices are stealing our productive time ruthlessly. we are being bombarded by notifications and useless stuff. In this 2018, it seems unavoidable for Whatsapp and Insta. Nevertheless, it is damn sure that — YOUR DREAM LIFE CAN BE ACHIEVED.
In your dream life, you have more than 50 dreams. who knows, you might have million dreams. To achieve any dream, move a step forward towards your dream life is easy than you might think.
Here is the 5 bullet steps which makes your Dream Life achievable. Take one dream at a time, follow this strategy. Achieve it. then, shoot the next. Repeat till you’re in your Dream Life.
1. Define your dream:
Many people aren’t become successful because they don’t know what they really want. They usually go with crowd. They are influenced by one thing for a week, then, another the next week. This repeats mindlessly without achieve any great things in their lives, wastes a lot of time.
To come out from this rut,
First, sit in a calm place, ask yourself WHAT IS REALLY I WANT IN THIS LIFE? It could be any. Have a talk with yourself. Do you want to become an Artist or Doctor or Entrepreneur? Whatever it is, just listen to your heart, Just listen, don’t allow negative talk here, enjoy the flow of thinking and at one moment, you feel that — This is really what I want.
Now, you are in a position to know what you want. In my Dream Life, I want to be a public speaker.
2. Deadline it:
Many times, it takes more than usual time to reach your goals. Without deadline, it becomes double, triple or even 10 times. According to the pyschologists— Deadline creates an urgency in you.
You become a little bit more goal-oriented with deadlines. Every time, the end date strikes in your heart, release cortisol which makes you more attentive than goal without deadline.
For me, I want to give a speech in front of 1000 people in a year. For you, just write the deadline accurately. While choosing the deadline, it should be realistic.Otherwise, it becomes very difficult and demotivates you harshly.
The deadline should be very accurate. Don’t use within a year, next 4 months or on or before 6 months. If it is a date like 31st Dec, 2018 or 1st May, 2019. Even, if the date has some special — I lose 20 pounds before my next birthday or I create another income source before our 2nd anniversary or I will give the gift to my spouse on next valentines’ day etc. It is perfectly fine.
3. Start planning backwards:
“Every minute you spend in planning saves 10 minutes in execution; this gives you a 1,000 percent return on energy!” ― Brian Tracy, author and motivational speaker.
We have two types of planning: forward and backward. Why Backwards? It gives you the clear idea about how much time you have to give everyday to achieve your goal within the deadline.
In planning, break you goal into subgoals and into tasks. Find the dependency between them and allot your time accordingly.
For me, I have to practice English, reduce stage fear, practice body language, learn dressing style, learn to give eye contact and grab attention etc., I will create time slots for every task.
Don’t go for planning paralysis, wasting time on doubting the plan. Just plan it, revise it. If you feel enough, that is enough.
4. Start with First week:
“The secret to a rich life is to have more beginnings than endings”
- Dave Weinbaum
Start small, create good emotions with it. Whether you continue it or not, it is shown from your first week. From day one, Just start without thinking much. Use your plan as a reference.
Journal it. Write about the results. Recently, I learned the power of Journaling from top entrepreneurs. Journaling makes you motivated, adds incremental output to your goal. You will be aware of your progress. You become addicted to the small results. Eventually, you achieve your dream easily.
Try to enjoy the small wins. For me, If I make my next seminar blast, that time, I celebrate it proudly. In that way, I stick myself to small wins. Over time, it will be compounded.
5. Persistence is the key:
Kill them with success and bury them with a smile. — Usian Bolt, Jamica Athlete
Many successful people have the common habit called Persistence. It makes you successful like them. After completion of first week, check the results. If you feel, results are good, continue it. If not, analyze your past week using your journal. Add any necessary changes to your plan for the next week.
Persistence is like flames for your cooking. Just think — While you’re cooking, if you stop for every minute and start again. Would that food cook well? Likewise, when you feel give up or not interested, imagine this. Without persistence, Minute things become impossible.
Continuous effort only achieves the Greatness in your Dream Life.
Moreover, starting and giving up the goals makes you more harm than good. It creates negative feelings in your mind. Like kid, it will grow over time. At once, it becomes Mount Everest. You rather die than you think about your given-up goal.
Use persistence as a weapon. Do move a little bit closer everyday, no matter how small it is, how hard your day might be.
Conclusion:
I have been using this 5-step process to achieve my goals in my dream life. You can also use this process and win your dream life.
Let me know what is your dream life.
