Redline to Give a New Appeal to Chevrolet
Recently, in the Chicago Auto Show, Chevrolet announced about its brand new Redline special edition series. Redline which is available on nine of the Chevrolet cars, crossovers and trucks, is considered as the broadest cross-portfolio special edition offered by Chevrolet.
In the 2015 SEMA Show held in Las Vegas, Chevrolet debuted Redline in the concept form. After receiving great number of positive responses from people, Chevrolet expanded Redline in nine vehicles that are in truck, car and crossover segments, namely:
1. Cruze LT (sedan and hatchback)
2. Malibu LT
3. Camaro LT/SS (coupe and convertible)
4. Trax LT
5. Equinox LT
6. Traverse Premier
7. Colorado LT
8. Silverado Double Cab LT Z71, Crew Cab LTZ Z71
One can easily distinguish a Redline vehicle from other normal vehicles, as Redline vehicles are equipped with some unique features, such as, black name plates with a red outline, black wheels with specialized red hash marks, black Chevrolet bowtie logos and blacked-out grilles. Various Redline vehicles even feature designs according to the preferences of specific customers. For instance, Camaro Redline features special black hash marks above the wheels, which is a design cue inspired from Chevy’s long heritage in motorsports, whereas the Colorado and Silverado Redlines feature red tow hooks.
According to Brian Sweeney, U.S. Vice President of Chevrolet, “The Redline special edition lineup has been popular with both customers and dealers”. “Since the introduction of Redline special editions on vehicles, the average vehicle transaction prices have increased, the time to turn has decreased and the conquest rates have soared high or risen, which has thus contributed to making Chevrolet the fastest growing brand in the vehicle industry for continuously two years. Redline which attracted huge interest from the crowd at the SEMA show, Redline is surely going to be popular with all the customers who are looking for standout cars, trucks, and crossovers.”[u1]
You can order Silverado Redlines which are the first on sale, by placing an order at the Chevrolet dealerships. The rest of the Redline vehicles will be up for sale by the end of 2017.
