Have you ever had days when you wanted to lie on the bed and do absolutely nothing else? You want to be lazy and don’t worry about your responsibilities. We all have that kind of day. We all felt lazy, unmotivated, emotional, and uninspired from time to time, and it is normal to feel like that. But we live in a hyper-competitive society focused on wealth and prosperity. We feel guilty if we don’t spend time on productivity.

When you are overworked, put pressure on yourself, or deal with chronic stress, it inevitably affects your mental and physical health. But what if it is more than we expect or laziness?

Before going into the six signs, let’s understand why depression happens.

What causes Depression:

Let me explain it to you with an example, If you ask a depressed patient. Why are you in depression? Most of the time, their answer will be I tried and put everything into living a dream life, but I failed.

Now for a moment, if you analyze their student life. You will notice one thing, you can’t tell an exact reason for their depression. It is because their life is like a scattered room whose cleaning happened a long ago, and their locks are broken and have no proper lighting system. Nobody is present there to take care of that room. He didn’t make plans for this room or care about it. Now you are asking, why it happened to me? What the h**l are you doing in university life?

So what outcome will we expect from this? Is it livable? No.

That is the reason for their depression, Here are some warning signs of depression that are more than just laziness.

Pessimism:

You are trying to nap, but your negative thoughts prevent you from sleeping. Do you feel stuck in a past event and constantly fear the worst outcome, or do you often struggle with unexplained feelings of loneliness and sadness?

Do you feel exhausted all the time and rarely have any energy?

You might feel that way for a reason you don’t understand, and nothing will improve you. No amount of sleep, comfortable bed, fun with friends, or any activity to brighten your mood. When you are battling depression, nothing can bring happiness to your soul.

Insomnia:

If you are diagnosed with depression, you may have difficulty sleeping or awake asleep, which is called insomnia. There is a link between sleep and depression. It is a sleep disorder in which a person struggles to sleep or wakes early in the morning and sometimes oversleeps. Although It is not the primary cause, it is considered a sign of clinical depression. In America, insomnia affects every 1 child from 3 at some point in life.

Restlessness:

You are lying on a bed at night. Everyone around you is sleeping, but you feel angry, irritable, and restless without any particular reason. It is common, and everyone feels restlessness in their life from time to time. Some other symptoms are difficulty concentrating and being uneasy. But when restlessness frequently happens, it harms your productivity and mental health. It may also affect you physically, such as restless legs syndrome.

Loss of interest in everything:

A loss of interest in things you love is a major sign of depression. It can take your pleasure and enjoyment feeling from things like sports, partying, gathering friends, and hobbies. You feel the energy draining among these. So if you are lying in bed and think your laziness makes you unmotivated, then you have to be sure that something is going wrong. You prefer to stay home and do nothing because you can’t find a reason to go outdoors or to do any activity.

Appetite loss or overeating:

Do you feel that your appetite has disappeared? Or you feel your stomach empty, no matter how much you eat. Do you enjoy your favorite meal? It is related to our brain, which controls our body, and if something constantly bothers us, like depression. Then it reduces most of the activity of our body like eating, sleeping, and productivity. People struggling with mental diseases often have a problem with eating or overeating. So it’s not your laziness that affects your appetite.

Uncontrollable Emotions:

One minute up, one minute down. At that moment, notice you become angry, and the next minutes you start crying. This variation of mood is caused by depression. Sometimes these thoughts trigger suicidal thoughts. If you constantly feel that condition, you must contact your physician.

Takeaway:

Depression carries a high suicide rate. It damages a person physically and physiologically. Sometimes it creates family issues and work-related issues. Their productivity goes from bad to worse. You know, you just need an antidepressant for your condition. It will show results in a month. If it helps, the best. If it is not, then move on to another thing because you have to put everything to treat your condition and restore your health. I know peoples who have been taking the antidepressant pill for the past two years and still got depressed because they want something external to come and resolve their issue No big No.

Man, you have to analyze yourself from a multi-dimensional view. Ask yourself these questions,

Are you doing enough?

Are your job meet your qualification?

Are your family relations in proper flow?

Are you happy with your life? If your answer is no, you must first fix these issues. Take some expert help to make a complete plan for you and remove all the irrelevant things which damage your health. Now use an antidepressant; it will show you miraculous results if you do your best.
