The objective of this article is to provide a series of insiders information into mobility and giving a great overview of the landscape. The focus is the strategy and that should be your focus too when thinking about architectures, decision making with your own mobile strategy. Apply this knowledge into your project, your business or your startup.

In every business there´re mobile opportunities that can really make a difference for your business, you can gain more traction or more data by simplifying access and increasing speed for your business users to access or interact with the information.

The importance of mobility is so big that users are using more phones than computers now, actually users don´t want to turn on their computers and they might not want to use your service if it´s not mobile first. That is not only a behavior happening on the top internet companies, this is something that´s happening inside the corporations as well, business areas that have mobility have more user engagement, they´re more productive, they have better return rates to their systems, they are more successful.

Businesses should have a mobile first not only thinking about google, but thinking about user behavior, user engagement and the new workforce generation that is really expecting that from their systems.

Mobile is not expensive as various studies show, it is a matter of culture and discipline of what do you want for your users and how you want them interacting with your systems. In fact, a lot of systems start out as mobile first now a days and that is becoming normal, if they have extra budget then they will go for the desktop. That is something you could not think of a couple of years ago. The corporate culture is changing and it is now.

And eventually the importance of mobile has surpassed any other item we have with us today, one in two Americans wouldn't´t last a day without their smartphones.

After showing you all these statistics and facts if you´re still not convinced that mobile is here and now, please make sure you have visited these links with insider information into further details of these topics.

Responsive or Mobile/Tablet Views?

Responsive is the latest and the most game changing UI trend since Ajax, everything from now on has to be responsive. But what if your current technology does not permit you to be responsive? Not responsive? No problem. You can wait for the upgrade having mobile and/or tablet views for your interfaces. That will make your business benefit from mobility aspects of your application, while you have to wait till you can be responsive.

Having a mobile view will make your users use your application as an App, if you are in mobile web world you can use Web Clips to make your mobile webpage become an App look a like, users will not bother, they will thank you for making their lives easier.

The mobility is a matter of making lives easier and portable, it is a matter of trust too if you think about your corporate information being portable. But it really comes down to who has the right privileges to that information, should they have it then it is ok to be portable, so it can be mobile.
