Cult is the operative term here Deborah Foster šŸ It is my opinion that Alex Jones has created the largest cult in modern human history.

I first heard Alex Jones on ā€œCoast to Coast AM with Art Bellā€ back in the late 90’s to early 00’s. That show was especially bizarre back then. Art Bell would have guests on that he would interview, sometimes people that would discuss absurd things like ā€œshadow peopleā€ or ā€œaliensā€, sometimes more traditional things like ā€œghostsā€ or ā€œbigfootā€ and then other times he would have legitimate people on that would discuss high level astrophysics and theoretical physics, the Universe and other fascinating things.

Alex Jones would call in and ā€œreportā€ when there was a Bilderberg Group meeting or when the G8 meeting was going on. He would rant and rave at full speed and volume about how the people there were plotting the destruction of humanity. Going on about how their goal was to kill at least half of the people on Earth, citing how many of them own their own small islands and how seed vaults exist, etc. It was a torrent of insanity.

The thing about Art Bell, is that he ran his show very differently. Every other radio show out there that had the ability for people to call in live had people that would screen the calls. But not Art Bell, if someone called in during the open lines hour of the show where he just let people that called in talk or during the part of the show where people could call in and ask questions of the guest, the people that called in would initially hit an automated hold service, then if Art hit their button they were directly connected and ā€œOn The Airā€. It was wild to say the least.

You would be hard pressed to find a more massive collection of crazy then the people that called into that show.

Anyways, Alex Jones now, with his website and radio show has allowed people to exist in a sort of artificial compound. Where before, for someone to be a part of a cult, they would have to be in physical contact with other cultists and be physically removed for a significant part of their existence from others. Now, that is all being accomplished via the artifice we know as the internet.

Alex Jones’ approach is nearly identical to all cult leaders, saying that:

1: You(the down trodden listener who is feeling unfulfilled) are the greatest person on Earth, you’ve just got to find your potential.

2: Everyone outside of ā€œUsā€ is against you and want you to fail, in fact they are afraid of what you could become if you ā€œknew the truthā€ so they are trying to figure out how to destroy you.

Those aren’t the only narratives of a cult, but they are the most profound and powerful ones that they typically employ.

It’s disturbing to say the least, but there are resources to help people who’s loved ones are entrapped by a cult, such as ā€œThe International Cultic Studies Associationā€.

Best of luck with your family, all is not lost yet.
