Years ago I read that Einstein had to keep his home address in his pocket, because he could never remember where he lived. I don’t know if that’s true or not. Regarding memory a bit more, one quote of his is, “Never memorize something that you can look up in a library.”
As to new things, Einstein was purportedly fond of wearing a handkerchief that he would knot in each corner as a summer hat when he was not in the general public.
