Avengers: Endgame Is A Great Marvel Movie…

But is it a good movie? Depends on how you look at it.

Are you just looking at it as a MCU movie? Because it was most definitely a great MCU movie. Fanboy moments, a massive battle at the end that lives up to every standard, lots of nods to previous movies in the franchise, it was all there. If you’re a big fan of the MCU and you’ve seen most of the movies in the franchise at least twice you’ll probably love it to death.

Are you looking at it as a casual fan? You’ve seen 6 or 7 of the MCU movies previous to this one because you couldn’t really be bothered to go to any of the other ones? Sucked into the theater by the hype or dragged along by a friend? Someone who goes to blockbuster movies to get their CGI fix and doesn’t really care about plot or story? If so I’d say the third act alone is worth the ticket. You’ll leave satisfied.

Are you just a normal person? Someone who’s only seen Black Panther, the other three Avengers movies, and Captain Marvel (the top five grossing MCU movies minus Endgame) once each? What if Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly didn’t have enough star power to get you into the theaters for the Ant-Man franchise? Or Doctor Strange wasn’t really your speed and you skipped it? If you were late to the party, didn’t see the first Avengers, and don’t care enough to go back and watch it? If you saw a few…
